I am in CA, and have pased the bar here. Willing be sitting for the IL bar in July and would like to talk to someone who is in IL to get some general information about the exam, and stay in the loop.

I am also from CA  and I will be taking the IL bar this July.  I have a question.  Does anyone have practice essays for the MBE topics?  I am worried because I have not done any essays for these topics.  However, my IL essay book does not have any samples.  What are other people doing to prepare for these essays?

I passed the CA bar in Feb. and will be sitting for the IL bar this summer. I too am concerned about how to prepare for the IL essays. I am using CA practice essays to prepare for the MBE topics. I think that if you can answer the CA essays you will be fine for IL. At least that is what I am hoping. The draw back is not being able to watch your time. The CA essays are designed to be answered in an hour versus the 1/2 hour alotted here in IL.

What methods have you been using so far?

I'm also studying for the IL bar from books I bought online. I tried the link someone suggested above, but it didn't work. Was anyone able to see what the IL bar examiner had to say?

I looked at the IL barbri for this summer and they don't have federal tax or admin law on the schedule.
