Microsoft Corporation would like to invite law students to participate in the fifth annual Microsoft Women and Minority Law Student IP Summit to be held at the Millenium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles, on October 5, 2009, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.  We are also pleased to announce that Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP is our Premier Sponsor for this year’s Summit.

The IP Diversity Summit is an opportunity for women, minority and LGBT law students to learn about different career paths in intellectual property law, while networking with attorneys from major companies across various industries and law firms.  Microsoft has hosted prior summits in Washington, D.C., New York, San Francisco,
and Chicago, and we are excited to bring this opportunity to Southern California in 2009.

We’d like to point out that, while the broader Summit schedule will begin at noon, students are invited to attend the panel on IP careers and the networking reception segment, which will take place from 4-8:00 pm.  Student check-in will begin at 3:30 pm.  The IP Diversity Summit is open to all law students, and we strongly encourage participation by women, minority and LGBT students in particular.  Of course, there is no cost for students to
participate.

Listed below is the on-line registration link and additional information.  We appreciate your help in forwarding this information to students and student organizations.
