When to start a family - law school PT or as an Assoc?

First, finding this website and forums is such a huge help. It is hard when you feel so torn and don't know anyone else going through the same thing.

I currently work FT in a law firm, go to school PT and will be finishing next year and taking the bar. Although it has been tough balance friends, family, and planning a wedding would not trade any of it for the world. I love my job and found that it has been a huge asset for school as well as real exposure to the truth of being an attorney.

Ms. JD Presents its Third Annual Conference on Women in the Law: Avenues to Advancement

Co-sponsored by the National Association of Women Lawyers, the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession and Young Lawyers Division, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Women & Law Committee of the Illinois State Bar

its been 25 years since I did this but....

Hi everyone.

I stumbled on this site googling "how to study for the bar" and I'm so glad I did. Whata great site this is!

Here is my situation in a nutshell. (Can you tell I'm reading those nutshell books?!).

I graduated from law school in 1977 in Calif. and passed the bar the first time. I worked for about 6 years, married, had kids, moved out of state, and never looked at law or anything remotely related to anything legal (outside of my own divorce) until a few weeks ago.

Can I do it? PT Law School, FT Job, FT Family

I am seriously considering entering law school in a part-time evening program.  I have two children 7 & 4 and I work full-time.  Is this doable?  Can I still enjoy my family, be successful at work, and a successful student?  I'd love to hear from other women who have taken the same leap.

Being a pre-law student and being discouraged.

I've read certain posts on Ms.Jd and found them absolutely intoxicating. These women are exaclty what I aspire to be one day and look up to so much.

I figured I'd make an account so that maybe I could meet some of you that may have advice for me, it would be very encouraging.

I was going to go to school for my political science degree, but after my first two years, I decided to go and get an A.S in Legal Assisting so that when I went back for my political science and eventually law school, I would have a reliable job.

Should I just give up?

I am at a crossroads and need to make a decision in the next week.  I'm hoping someone can provide some insight into my situation that I no longer can see...or don't want to see.
