In 2014 Ms. JD launched a series of pre-law programming to further develop resources for pre-law women. This programming aims to provide pre-law students with the resources they need to make an informed decision as to if law school is the right path for them. In addition to a weekly blog series on preparing for law school and navigating elements of the application process, Google Hangouts On Air, Twitter chats, and in-person panel events will provide pre-law women across the country with direct access to the Ms. JD Board of Directors, the Ms. JD Fellows, and the greater Ms. JD community of law students and legal professionals.
For those of you who are pre-law, let us knows what questions you have by tweeting @msjdorg using #msjdprelaw. For those of you who are law students or legal professionals, we invite you to tweet your pre-law insights using #msjdprelaw or share your pre-law journey on the blog.
Currently Ms. JD has the following resources for pre-law women.
- Ms. JD's Pre-Law Prep Guide provides guidance on making the decision to go to law school as well as tips on successfully preparing for and completing the law school application process.
- Ms. JD's Pre-Law Blog covers a variety of topics from taking an in depth look into each aspect of the application process, to highlighting the doors that having a JD can open.
- Members of Ms. JD's Board of Directors have shared their pre-law insights in Google Hangouts. You can watch Part I here and Part II here.
- Ms. JD Fellows Present: Acing Law School was written by the 2013-2014 Ms. JD Fellows, a diverse group of women law students from across the country who are dedicated to advancing the status of women in the profession. On June 1, 2014 several of the Ms. JD Fellows shared their pre-law and law school insights in a Google Hangout. Not sure where to start?
