An LLM or JD for Europe?

Average: 4 (1 vote)

I'm a canadian student who's about to graduate and have no idea what degree I should get next. Ideally, I would like to go to Europe and stay there. My HBA is in International Relations and I want to work in Human Rights groups. Should I go for a JD or an LLM? The LLMs so far sound a lot better because they're a lot more specific and Europe doesn't offer any JDs. But, I can't help but feeling like I'm missing something since the JD is 3 yrs and the LLM is only one. Which one is better?

Public Defender/Prosecutor Loan Forgiveness

Has anyone heard whether the proposed federal program to forgive student loans for law students who become public defenders or prosecutors passed?  Or how much it would forgive? Or when it would be enacted?
