LaddHer Up 2019
November 14-15, 2019
Ms. J.D. will host our second annual LaddHer Up retreat on Thursday, November 14 - Friday, November 15, 2019. This retreat provides a unique opportunity for women law firm associates in the earlier stages of their careers to personally engage with women general counsel for transparent 2:1 career strategy discussions, as well as professional development on expanding personal networks, effectively pitching to potential clients, and building skills for a general counsel role in the future.
LaddHer Up is a unique program that will include two general counsel plenary panels, including topics like “How to Pitch to a General Counsel." Both days will provide great general counsel networking opportunities and interesting expert workshops. Thursday's programming will include inspiring speakers and workshops, along with small group recreational activities to foster informal general counsel-associate social interaction. On Thursday and Friday, we will hold career meet ups where each general counsel will informally provide career advice to a few associates.
LaddHer Up will feature General Counsel career coaches from over 30 companies including: Aeris Communications, Arm, Avanade, Choice Hotels, Chronicle, Cox, Crate & Barrel, Dreamscape Immersive, Drybar Holdings, Gates Foundation, Green Dot Bank, LoanMe, Morehouse College, NEC Corp of America, NetApp, The New York Times Company, Nikon Precision, PayPal, Pinterest, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte, Poly, REI, Rodan + Fields, Scoular, Silverlake, Sun Basket, TriNet, Twitter, United Capital, Varo Money and Zynga.
