The Sixth Annual Conference on Women in Law in partnership with the Center for Women in Law at The University of Texas School of Law
Passion Forward presents young and aspiring attorneys with the chance to learn the skills that will give them career control. Find your voice, show off your passion, and start on the journey to your dream career. At Passion Forward, participants will learn the skills to identifyand showcase their passions so that they can be in control of where their career is headed. APPROVED FOR 1 CLE TEXAS ETHICS CREDIT FOR FRIDAY.
First, we will help you identify what you are passionate about and how to harness your personality strengths to best market those passions. No more trying to fit yourself into what others think of as the "right" way to do something. We'll work together to figure out what marketing tools are best for you! Then, our knowledgeable presenters will teach you to skills that will enable you display your passion and set yourself apart in the new economy (one that is increasingly technological and digital). Learn from practitioners who are making their dream careers happen by finding their voice! They are using powerful tools like social media, blogs, and the platforms that come with getting involved in organizations that share their mission to drive their careers. Finally, we’ll leverage the power of women supporting women by guiding you in the creation of your personalized master plan to ensure that you leave the conference ready to deploy the skills you've learned. In short, you will walk away from the first day of Passion Forward with your new plan for YOU Inc.

For the first time in Ms. JD history, Ms. JD will be honoring exceptional women in connection with our conference. The Passion Forward Awards will kick off our weekend of commiting to pursuing our passions by focusing women who have demonstrated a gritty determination to create change and improve the communities around them. They have achieved incredible results and they will show you how you can too. The honorees are:

Building on the first day of Passion Forward, the Center for Women in Law will host an all-day, intensive workshop for law students, judicial clerks, and LL.M.’s. Included in the Ms. JD Conference registration, the Center will train participants in effective communication, self-promotion, and networking.
