Kiara Vaughn is privacy counsel for Paylocity (NASDAQ: PCTY), based out of Boston, MA. She counsels on ever-evolving regulatory compliance; provides transactional support on acquisitions; and negotiates privacy and cybersecurity provisions of commercial contracts. Ms. Vaughn is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US and CIPP/E) and is an inaugural recipient of the Social Impact Award of the Inaugural New England Legal Awards.

Ms. Vaughn was previously an associate at Latham & Watkins, LLP, where she supported clients across a variety of life stages, from emerging companies to public companies, and worked across a variety of industries, including social media, life sciences, tech, aviation and national security matters. During her time at Latham, Ms. Vaughn was actively engaged in DEI and pro bono matters.

Ms. Vaughn is a proud dog mom to three beautiful Australian Labradoodles, Mulligan, McKinley and Maverick (who like to chime in on her work and personal calls with their opinions). In her free time, Ms. Vaughn enjoys spending time with her friends and family, watching the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and reading.
