By Ms. JD Editor • May 16, 2011•Law School

Ms. JD and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP are excited to invite you to celebrate the launch of the Ms. JD Global Education Fund and its inaugural scholars, Ugandan law students Joaninne Nanyange and Monica Athieno.
On June 21, we'll be hosting a reception featuring remarks by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, Deputy Director of the Women and Foreign Policy Program at the Council on Foreign Relations and author of the New York Times bestseller The Dressmaker of Khair Khana.
In addition to our core mission to increase the representation of women in the legal profession in the United States, Ms. JD aims to support the rise of women lawyers worldwide. Our Global Education Fund was created to help women in developing countries pursue legal educations when they would otherwise lack access to higher education. The reception is a wonderful opportunity to support the Global Education Fund in a festive setting.
We hope you'll join us on June 21, 2011 from 7p - 9p at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, 125 Broad Street, 37th Floor, New York, NY. Specially priced early bird tickets can be purchased online now, but hurry, the special price expires on May 31.
