Ms. JD Announces its Public Interest Law Scholarships!

Ms. JD is pleased to be offering two $500 scholarships for law students working in public interest this summer. Unpaid judicial externs also qualify for these scholarships. This year's essay topic asks applicants to discuss myths about being a law student. Did you experience any pleasant surprises upon starting your study of law? Did you learn any law school 'lessons' the hard way? Ms. JD wants to hear about them. Applications are due no later than June 1st. More information is available at http://ms-jd.org/ms-jd-2008-summer-scholarship-application (you must be logged in in order to apply).

I couldn't get the link to work.  It said "Access Denied."  Thanks for any info/help you can offer.

The scholarship link is fixed. Thanks for catching that!

But stay tuned for other essay contests and consider posting about your experiences in the meantime!

This scholarship though only worth $500, could help a student wishing to study law get by a month’s expenses, excluding tuition fees. Hopefully when the student becomes an attorney, he can remember this small help that he got, and maybe help other law students in need too.

Will a public interest scholarship be available for 2012?

Hi Acuenca,
The scholarships were available but, unfortunately, the deadline has already passed.  We encourage you to read about the winners here: http://ms-jd.org/congratulations-2012-winners-ms-jds-summer-public-interest-scholarships and look for their posts later this summer.
Sincerely,
Ms. JD
