Recent popular publications such as Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg and the TED Talk "Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are" by Dr. Amy Cuddy have brought to light the disadvantages that professional women tend to face in negotiating situations. Wanting to combat this problem in the legal profession, the WLA is hosting a workshop that will present negotiating techniques for women attorneys.
This workshop will teach negotiating techniques that will enable women to engage more effectively in workplace negotiations. We will discuss both formal negotiations, such as litigation settlement or requests for a raise or promotion, and informal negotiations, such as attracting new clients or lobbying for assignment to the most desirable cases or deals.
Victoria Pynchon will lead the workshop, which will be offered for three hours of CLE credit in New Jersey, New York, California and Virginia.* More information about Ms. Pynchon can be found at: http://shenegotiates.com/bios/.
The WLA is excited to host this event, and hope that you will join us. Registration will begin at 2:00 p.m., and a reception will immediately follow the workshop. Our application for approval in Virginia is currently pending. We will continually update our EventBrite page as we continue work with the CLE approving authorities
