The Top Three Reasons You Should Attend The Annual Ms. JD Conference

I am super excited about the Seventh Annual Ms. JD Conference!! This year’s conference is being held March 5-6. Ms. JD will bring together trailblazers from across the country. Below are three great reasons why you can’t miss this year’s conference.

Inspiring – Every single woman’s success story is an inspiration for another. The conference is a great way to showcase your accomplishments and the accomplishments of other women attorneys. We know that traditionally women are not good about promoting themselves; this is the perfect place to practice. Together our voices are amplified so they can’t be ignored. Hear us roar!

Learning New Skills & Tools – “You are the CEO of You, Inc. You have to be thinking 10 years beyond where you are now. It will help you get through the drudgery and keep you well prepared for your next steps.” This is one of my favorite quotes from the 2011 conference. The conference is a great way to ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you where you want to be tomorrow. If we don’t stop and take the time to plan sometimes later becomes never. The conference is a great place to put plans into action with the help of breakout sessions covering the following topics: Clerkship Application, Fellowship Application, How to Write a Grant, How to Write a Business Plan, and How to Succeed as an Early Associate.

Networking – The Ms. JD conference is also about building relationships before you need them! Remember ladies, building your network is a marathon not a sprint. Every year there are lots of opportunities to make new friends and grow your networks.

In case you still can’t decide if you should attend the Ms. JD conference, check out the twitter hash tag from last year’s conference at #passionforward. I look forward to seeing everyone in March!
