What “Stronger Together” Means to Ms. JD’s Programs Manager Laura Bladow

Ms. JD is hosting its Seventh Annual Conference on Women in the Law: Stronger Together on March 5 & 6, 2015 at UC Hastings College of the Law. In the lead up to our annual conference, Ms. JD board members, staff, and annual conference participants will share what our conference theme “Stronger Together” means to them.

To me, stronger together means . . . that reaching any individual or collective goal is possible when women come together to support each other.

I’m a member of the following professional organizations, which have demonstrated to me that there is strength in numbers . . .

  • Ms. JD
  • Young Professionals in Foreign Policy
  • Delta Delta Delta, DC Alumnae Chapter

My mentor(s) taught me . . . Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is essential to making the most of new opportunities. A successful leader is someone who invests in and empowers their team. You can be both feminine and a feminist.

My mentee(s) taught me . . . that you're never too young or too inexperienced to start paying it forward.

Before, during and after this year’s conference, I’d like to help members of Ms.JD’s network by. . . continuing to build Ms. JD's Pre-Law Programming!  Tell me what your pre-law questions are, and I will do my best to help you find the answers you need!
