The Glass Ceiling for Women in Legal Education: Contract Positions and the Death of Tenure

Marina Angel

Angel examines three categories of law school personnel: librarians, who are considered administrators, and clinicians and legal writing teachers, who are considered faculty. She goes on to discuss trends in law school hiring during the last twenty years. And finally, Angel demonstrates that law school trends mirror those in college and university hiring aimed at the weakening, and eventual death, of tenure.
