I often tell people I was my first client. During the year that I was enrolled in my health and wellness coaching program, I spent much of that time coaching myself. Through books, exercises, and a lot of introspection, I made new discoveries about various dimensions of my life, including my career and personal well-being. This is an ongoing journey as evidenced by my selection and participation in the 2016 Class of the Impact Center’s Women’s Executive Leadership Program where I continued to reflect on my leadership identity and strengths.
I am a lawyer turned wellness/career coach. This unique combination of experience and skills allows me to listen deeply, ask insightful questions, develop meaningful relationships, and help individuals maximize their full potential and find authentic fulfillment, both personally and professionally. With respect to relationships, I also have a keen ability to bring individuals and groups together to achieve shared goals.
Additionally, I have a deep passion for issues relating to diversity and inclusion. An underlying theme of my professional, leadership, and community pursuits is advocacy around access, equity, and inclusion, and supporting historically underrepresented and marginalized communities.
I speak frequently on topics related to diversity and inclusion, career and professional development, and health and wellness. You can follow me on Twitter @thezenlegalmama.
